What follows is whatever topic happens to cross my mind as a viewer of movies. I have no formal training or experience that would qualify my opinion as a “Review.” I can’t do a better job than those that are out there doing it. What I can do is fulfill my end of the bargain.
Films are made for the rest of the world to watch. Every filmmaker hopes that the final product will entertain the audience, appeal on some level, spark conversation, and/or leave someone with something to think about, whether it’s a message or simply an appreciation for the art. As one of the masses that get excited for movies, and enjoy getting lost in the story, the art and the mood, I am doing what the filmmakers hoped for. I am thinking about the movies that I see and this site will serve as a forum for what I’m thinking.
The topics will vary, and I am definitely open to suggestions on future topics. While people are working hard to try and get the site up and running (I am no help in this area at all), I’m presenting some random topics/lists that may not be current or relevant to what films are out now. Hopefully once this machine is running smoothly, my writings will be more topical.
While I get used to writing things down with some sense of speed and regularity, the first few posts will probably be list, recap, and year-end related.
