We wanted to have some fun with this. You feel fun right? Back before Rakim’s 2010 show, Nuv wrote a little ditty listing Rakim’s best 18 songs (brevity was never his strong point). Here’s a taste:

We want you to come up with a drink recipe for any of Rakim’s songs. Be it smooth, sweet, smoky or just plain slick, we’ll select the best two and bequeath two tickets to each winner. Cool? Cool.

1 1/2oz Van Gogh Dutch Chocolate Vodka
1/2oz White Cacao liquor
1/2oz Kahlua
Shake with ice and strain into martini glass. Garnish with Heshey’s Kiss. Hand to hot chick.
Get O-face preview.
CHINESE ARITHMETIC
2 oz Wiser’s Deluxe whisky
2 Orange wedges
2 oz of chilled Jasmine tea
1/4 oz of Elderflower syrup (or honey)
Ginseng bitters
Ginger ale
Don’t sweat the Technique:
Muddle orange wedges in shaker with a tincture of ginseng bitters. Add ice and rest of ingredients like an abacus. Shake it easy does it, do it easy. Strain into a rocks glass over ice and splash of ginger ale with no garnish cuz this ain’t no joke.
Sip the juice – there’s enough to go around.

In Rocks glass
1 oz Tequila
1 Oz rum
7 oz Coke/pepsi
nuff said
PASS THE HAND GRENADE
5oz Stongbow Cider
2oz Lager
1oz Absolut Mandarin Vodka
Top cider with lager in a sleeve glass, pour the vodka in a shot glass.
Drop the fuze, pound, repeat.
To make ‘em NAPALM HAND GRENADES…..
Line up enough sleeves for you and your idiot buddies.
Balance the shots on top of the glasses.
Top shots and base of sleeves with 151 rum.
Ignite with match – BLOWOUT – Pound.
